Speech Pathologist in Mandurah
Clinical Practice for Speech & Language Services
Speech Pathways provides in-person speech pathology to support and build confidence in speech, language, literacy and social interaction skills.
I work collaboratively with families, childcare providers, schools, general practitioners and other health professionals in the local community to provide comprehensive support for children and adults with communication needs.
Speech Pathways is a small private clinic providing high quality, in-person speech and language services for children and adults with speech and language disability, developmental disorder and delay, and learning difficulty.
I am committed to flexible, family-friendly support options.

Services

Speech
For young people and adults who have trouble pronouncing certain speech sounds or whose speech is hard to understand. This may include articulation difficulties, (motor planning, structural) or phonological delays (errors in speech sounds). Therapy focuses on helping your loved one speak more clearly so they can be better understood by others.

Early Language
For little people who are slower to start talking or who are using words and sentences later than expected for their age. Therapy focuses on early communication skills, such as shared attention, gesture and first words, those important functional words to get your child’s needs met.
Continuing to build on those strong foundations to develop richer and more complex language skills. I will also support and guide parents during therapy on ways to encourage language development at home in daily routines and in play.

Receptive &
Expressive Language
For young people and adults who have difficulty understanding language, (word meaning, following instructions, answering questions) or using language to express themselves, (saying words in the right order, summarising what happened, using correct grammar when talking). Therapy focuses on building strong connections between language concepts and words, understanding how to organise information, and building robust communication skills.

Literacy
For children who are struggling to learn early literacy skills at school, or who have difficulty ‘holding on to’ and applying new skills with confidence and automaticity. For adults who struggle with activities of daily living that demand a level of literacy skill in reading and writing. Therapy is evidence based and tailored to provide the building blocks needed to become capable readers with competent spelling and writing skills.
